Teach English in Sri Lanka with British Centre Sri Lanka
Job details - Location and Contract
Minimum Qualifications and Teaching Experience

We would like to recruit native UK English students (above 18 year of age) and/or persons with limited English teaching qualifications and experience. In our institute (British Centre Sri Lanka) we have over 300 students studying as how to speak good English. Hence, you are required to help them to improve their communicative English by just talking to them and motivating and encouraging them to speak even with failures! Hence, your role is more of a motivator and helper than a teacher. Here in Sri Lanka, the biggest problem our students have is their difficulty to articulate English sentences and lack of confidence and fluency to do so. Therefore, your input to improve their current limited skills of speaking English to the next level with fluency and confidence, is all what is expected from you.

British Centre Sri Lanka was started in 2014 with the aim to popularise British English and British Culture in Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka, students in government schools learn English as a subject, but they fail to speak it fluently and confidently. Therefore, British Centre Sri Lanka helps them to speak English fluently and confidently. So far we have supported over 4,000 students for last 6 years, and we are continuing the same in the future. Your input as native UK speaker will definitely help us to achieve our collective goal in Sri Lanka.
